At SiestaCon, we are dedicated to providing an enjoyable and rewarding experience that is safe for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity, and expression, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, veteran status, physical or mental disability, physical appearance, body size, race, national origin, age, dress, political affiliation, or fandom preference in any area, activity or operation of SiestaCon. All ADA companions are expected to purchase tickets to the event.

We offer several different ADA accommodations.

  1. PARKING
SiestaCon does have reserved parking for the event.
  1. ADA WAITING AREAS FOR PANELS
The ADA group will be seated first for Panel Programming. We will do our best to keep groups together; however, if space is limited, you may be asked to limit your group to just one additional person. If you are using a wheelchair, you will be assigned to one of several designated sections located throughout the room.
  1. ASL INTERPRETERS
Unfortunately we cannot offer ASL interpreters for the May 2024 convention. But we will try to make this happen at future shows.
  1. WHEELCHAIR RESERVATION
There is no rental for wheelchairs or scooters at the convention. Please make arrangements with a local rental in the area before the event.
  1. SERVICE DOGS ARE ALLOWED
Only service dogs will be permitted at SiestaCon. According to state and federal law, a “service animal” is any dog that is trained, or is in training, to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability; and performs work or tasks, or is in training to perform work or tasks, that are directly related to the individual’s disability. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered. If the dog is out of control and the handler does not effectively control it or is not housebroken, the handler will be asked to remove the service animal from the premises.

If you need help with other service dogs or their handlers, please speak with a staff member at the Administration Booth. Our goal is to provide a safe experience for all our guests.

Emotional support animals are not allowed at this time.
